The Garden State ARA Hamfest opens to the general public at 8:00 am
this Sunday, Sept 18th and it looks like it will be their best ever.
Vendor spaces (limit 1 space per vehicle), food, and live entertainment
will make this the event of the year. Action starts at the MOESC Hamfest
site at 7:00 am for vendors and continues to around Noon. GSARA invites
you to come and help make this hamfest the best!!  VE Session starts at
11:00 a.m.  QSL card checking available.

Let’s not forget the 2016 Hudson Division Awards Luncheon!

The Awards Luncheon, sponsored this year by the Orange County Amateur
Radio Club (OCARC), will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from
noon to 4:00 pm at the Ramada Cafe International in Newburgh, N.Y.

This year we’ve decided to award one “Amateur of the Year” and three
“Grand Ol Ham” awards.

The recipients are:

All proceeds this year will be donated to the ARRL Legislative Issues
Advocacy Fund. Donations to this fund are used specifically to support
the efforts to promote, inform, and advocate to Congress on behalf of
Amateur Radio.

Most money is raised by advertising sales.  Please consider taking an
ad this year in the Awards Journal.  The prices are $30 for a quarter
page, $50 a half page and $100 a full page.  To take an ad, please

The past 3 years we have raised nearly $15,000 that has been donated to
the ARRL.  The money this year will once again be used to help offset
expenditures made in support of our HR-1301 advocacy effort.
