Good morning Hudson Division –

The 2016 Hudson Division Awards Luncheon is only one month away, and
tickets are going FAST! Don’t miss out. Don’t delay. Get your
tickets TODAY!

The Awards Luncheon, sponsored this year by the Orange County Amateur
Radio Club (OCARC), will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from
noon to 4:00 pm at the Ramada Cafe International in Newburgh, N.Y.

This year we’ve decided to award one “Amateur of the Year” and three
“Grand Ol Ham” awards.

The recipients are:

Please join me in congratulating them, and please celebrate their
achievement by joining them at the 2016 Hudson Division Awards
Luncheon.

Tickets are $37.00 per person or a group table of ten seats can be
purchased for $333.00.

All proceeds this year will be donated to the ARRL Legislative Issues
Advocacy Fund. Donations to this fund are used specifically to support
the efforts to promote, inform, and advocate to Congress on behalf of
Amateur Radio.

Most money is raised by advertising sales. Please consider taking an
ad this year in the Awards Journal. The prices are $30 for a quarter
page, $50 a half page and $100 a full page. To take an ad, please
print out this form and mail it with a check as instructed on the
form.

annual Fall Hamfest this Saturday, October 8, 2016 at:

Tailgating spaces.
– Amateur Testing: Technician thru Extra class exams – 8:00 am –
10:00 am
Please bring Photo ID and if previously licensed your original FCC
license and a photo-copy
The fee for Amateur testing is $15.00
– DXCC Card Checking courtesy of North Jersey DX Association
– No reservations are required for outdoor tailgate spaces.
– A limited number of Indoor spaces are available with electrical
power.
You must reserve these spaces in advance.

The Hamfest is open for vendors at 6AM, and at 8AM for buyers.

The Hall of Science Amateur Radio Club is holding its only hamfest for
2016 on Sunday, October 9, 2016

Sellers setup starts at 7:30 and doors open to buyers at 9.00 AM.

Don’t forget to try their Drop’N’Shop feature! Bring a couple of items
down that you’d like to sell and they’ll do their best to sell them for
you (so you don’t need to buy a table for one or two items, freeing you
up to enjoy the hamfest).
