Update May 29th, 2015

Hello,

I apologize for the late notice, but I just got back from another trip
to D.C. on behalf of our HR-1301 effort and was unable to get to the
listing until today.

This weekend is a busy weekend for Hamfests as we have one in each
section.

Tomorrow, Saturday, May 30th is the annual Bergen Amateur Radio
Association (BARA) Spring Hamfest.

Located at:
Westwood High School
701 Ridgewood Rd.
Township of Washington 07676

8:00 AM till 2:00 PM

Rain or Shine- the Hamfest will have Indoor spaces and Outdoor
Tailgating spaces.

Amateur Testing: Technician thru Extra class exams – 8:00 am –
10:00 am
Please bring Photo ID and if previously licensed your original FCC
license and a photo-copy. The fee for Amateur license testing is
$15.00

On Sunday, May 31st is the Mt. Beacon ARC Spring Hamfest

Employee’s Recreation Center (near Downstate Correctional Facility)

Parking on Red Schoolhouse Road is allowed, but be sure to park beyond
the white line to ensure traffic safety and avoid ticketing.

VE EXAM INFORMATION

Please remember to bring the following: two pieces of identification
(one with a photo), your original license and a copy of it, any
original Certificates of Successful Completion of Examination (CSCE’s)
and copies of them.

Also remember to bring the proper fee in check made out to ARRL VEC or
exact change (NOTE: the 2015 fee remains at $15.00).  The HOSARC VE
Team will supply the FCC Form 605.

NOTE: Pre-registration is NOT required for the VE session.  Hamfest
exams start at 10:00 and walk-ins may register up until 11:00.
