The Bergen Amateur Radio Association Speaker Series Presents:

“Modern 2 Meter Earth-Moon- Earth(EME) and Weak Signal Operation”

Presented by Woody Peitzer (AK2F) and Roger Shultz (NJ2R).

EME Communication, also known as moon bounce, has become a popular form
of amateur space communication. The concept is simple: the moon is used
as a passive reflector for two way communication between two locations
on earth. With a total path length of half a million miles, EME may be
considered the ultimate DX. Presentation includes pictures and
screenshots from this year’s winning EME contest station K1JT.

Presentation also includes photos of modest stations, links to obtain
open source executable software, scheduling sites.

The talk will be given at the June 7, 2015 monthly meeting of the
Bergen Amateur Radio Association at 7:30pm.
