Aug1, 2015 Luncheon Update

Good Day,

With the deadline for making nominations for the annual Hudson Division
Awards luncheon coming up on August 15th, I wanted to issue a reminder
to keep those nominations coming.

It was suggested to me that it would be easier to make a nomination by
email, rather than going to the trouble of printing out a form, filling
it out, and mailing it in.  I wholeheartedly agree.

If you would like to make a nomination for any of the annual awards,
please send it via email to Vice-Director Bill Hudzik at w2udt@arrl.org
Include the name and callsign of your nominee as well as your name and
callsign.  Please include an explanation of why you feel this
individual deserves an award.  And get others to nominate him/her as
well.

If you’ve already mailed in a nomination, that’s okay too.

But, again, get those nominations in no later than 11:59 pm on August
15th.

Tickets for the event are now being sold.  At the moment, only checks
can be accepted as payment.  To purchase tickets, please go to the
Hudson Division website, print out the ticket order form, and mail it
in following the instructions on the page.  Here is the link to the
order form:

Tickets this year are $42.50 per person.  The restaurant is set up with
smaller tables so there is no table discount.

All proceeds this year will be donated to the ARRL Legislative Issues
Advocacy Fund.  Most money is raised by advertising sales.  Please
consider taking an ad this year in the Awards Journal.  The prices are
$30 for a quarter page, $50 a half page and $100 a full page.  To take
an ad, please print out this form and mail it with a check as
instructed on the form.  Here is the link:

The form is available in either a PDF or Word format.

The past 2 years we have raised nearly $10,000 that has been donated to
the ARRL.  The money this year will once again be used to help offset
the expenditures we’ve been making in support of our HR-1301/S.1685
advocacy effort.

I hope to see you at the luncheon on Sunday, November 8, 2015!
